Revenue and earnings contribution included in 2005 estimates provided on December 20, 2004
SADDLE RIVER, N.J., March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PDI, Inc. (NASDAQ:PDII) has announced the details of its 2005 agreements with AstraZeneca. The details of the contracts, which were recently finalized, were not available when PDI provided its 2005 estimates on December 20, 2004. The financial contribution of these teams was included in PDI's 2005 estimates provided December 20, 2004.
AstraZeneca will be utilizing PDI for three separate applications, which include a primary care team, a specialty team and a specialized deployment that enhances AstraZeneca's internal sales force flexibility and retention program. The programs in aggregate represent between $85 and $90 million in potential 2005 revenue to PDI and run through December 31, 2006.
Steven K. Budd, PDI's President of Global Sales and Marketing Services, said, "Throughout our eleven year relationship, we have provided AstraZeneca a range of sales force solutions, offering them the flexibility to quickly adjust the size, deployment and profile of a portion of their sales force.
